The Importance of Networking with Jimmy Rex
Jimmy Rex is best known for his top-rated podcast “The Jimmy Rex Show” and his best-selling book “You End Up Where You’re Heading.” But his life is so much more than that. He is a real estate expert, having sold over 2500 homes in his career, an angel investor in over a dozen businesses, including a seed round investor in Nikola motors, entrepreneur, adventurer, and family man.
Jimmy is also an adrenaline junkie and loves to give back, always looking for the next great story. Whether it is swimming with tiger sharks, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, running with the bulls, or working undercover to help rescue kids being sex trafficked, Jimmy is never bored. Recently he returned back from his 70th country visited. His mission is to share the love with all and to show everyone around him how to live an extraordinary life.
In this interview from the Video Remarketing Summit, we discuss how video impacted that success and brought him to where he is today. Before he got going with video, he built his business through door-knocking and pounding the phones. He got really burnt out and needed to figure out a way to balance his life and do what he was passionate about, such as traveling the world and working with charities. He was highly successful before starting video and social media, but he did not have the lifestyle he wanted.
He was surrounded by people who were killing it on social media, so it sparked his interest. He learned how he could use video in his own business and started implementing it. He no longer had to call 30-40 people every day he could post a video and reach so many more people.
You don’t want to be salsey. You want to attract people to you and make them curious. He was doing so well on Instagram that he decided to start a podcast and YouTube channel, bringing on guests that would help him get notoriety and bring in more viewers. He realized there are so many networking opportunities and tapped into that.
If you try to implement too many tips for video at once, it will be overwhelming. Map out what you are trying to accomplish and put a plan together.
Why do you want to do it, and how will you implement that into your daily routine?
